I just remembered I have always had a space to fall back on.

Personally, I think I have a relatively low self esteem.

As I am typing all of these now, I am afraid of people judging me.

I mean it is just blogging but there are so many different types of people around and their thoughts wander so much that you can't keep up with them.

The thing is I read blogs when I find myself looking for things to do over the internet and blogs of friends are the activities I resort to. It feels normal reading about people's life but it feels slightly different and maybe a little weird when you're writing on your own life. I mean I know I am not that important to some of the friends I am keeping now and what goes on in my life probably doesn't very much affect or bother them. But, well, I gotta admit, people stereotype and this is how life is treating us; based on unfair and unjustified judgements. But we gotta do what we do best, live to love.

I recently got my driver's license and I am overjoyed. Ever since I started learning to take on the wheel, I've been seeing myself taking my dad's car cruising along the road. An activity I already love even before knowing how it feels like to drive. I've been driving myself to school everyday now and I have one more reason to wake up without snoozing the alarm.

Nat and I recently got into a small, tiny tiff over money issues. We have a shared account and we deposit into that account as soon as we have some extra cash which is within our reach. Trust me, you can't leave money with us. They will all go to places we don't remember going. Towards the end of the month, we'll go through a cycle we both know so well.

1) Happily inserts POSB card

2) Punch PIN

3) "omg. where did all our money go?" "Well, probably Canopy! We went there twice this week!" "Right Right, we better start saving honey."

4) "Babi, I want yogurt" OR "I need to buy protein powder for next month. Im running low man."

6) Money flies away, completely oblivious to either of us until the next cycle repeats itself.

Besides spending on our favorite snack which are yogurt and protein powder, the other half to cabs, movies or to a fine restaurant with a quiet setting to spend time with each other's soul, all in the name of pampering ourselves. We fought because I couldn't resist shopping and I know it is my fault. Spending money is fine but spending all of it ain't cool.

I don't think I am born with a silver spoon in my mouth but I am not complaining. I work part time and it is a job I really love. It may be tiring from time to time but it is the environment and the people I work with which makes me love my part-time job. My colleagues are my best friends so tell me, how can I not love working at Canopy?

Ashley and I were the first to register for the job and we were gradually thankful. It was satisfying to be able to join the crew but it was just something about the place which made us not quite like the place initially. Then came our first month working at Canopy, Ashley and I finally got to work together & we both love it there. We introduced the job to our closest friends and 4 more buggers joined us - Vetri, Boaz, JaySee and Elmo. That plays a tremendous role in making Canopy such a fun place to be in. What makes Canopy so damn awesome is THE LIVE BAND. YES YES YES, We are having live band performance every wednesday and saturday. But it only starts after the World Cup Fever.

It comes to the point where I am not working for the money but for the love for Canopy. I love Canopy and I love my friends. Well, and er, Nat loves the Beef Burger, medium rare. I am eternally grateful for the friends I make at work and I appreciate their presence.

This is getting a little tired on my fingers. Back to marketing.

Hey.

Wow, I haven't been here for ages and it feels good to be back.

It will be my birthday in 4 days and I am not feeling hyped up or anything close to excited or anticipative.

Birthdays are just a mark of another year passing by and after that day, life goes on. Friends continue to stay close, life still remains great. But well, birthdays are joyous occasions, I will not tarnish that thought.

Thinking back, I feel that I have salvaged many relationships for the past year. I saved them with a sincere heart and a cup full of genuineness. My dear friends saw it and acknowledged it by showing me that they care, too. My newly-made friends became my good friends. My good friends became my better friends. My better friends became my close friends. My close friends became my closer friends and my lost friends were, well, not lost any more.

Sometimes, I feel really lucky to be surrounded by the people I love and of whose presence I completely embrace. They are the ones who love me for who I am and because of my loving family, I have experienced unconditional love from the day of my first cry. My parents are still as loving after 27, and counting, years of marriage. Their marriage has convinced me to thinking Love is powerful. It is Love which brought us to life. It is Love which have kept them committed to the vows they have made to each other. It is because of the Love they have portrayed for each other which has taught me how to love another. It is also because of their Love which has made me witness that Love really does make the world go round.

I wouldn't say the past year was one of the best years that I've had in my life, yet. Neither will I say it was a bad one. The past year had been a fast yet loving one. I met a man with the biggest heart on earth and he, too has taught me how to love. We have exchanged promises and have had our tiffs. We have had our good and fun times together but we do have bad ones, too. The thing about this relationship I'm sharing with Nat is that he has made me think highly of our love. I know that the chemistry we share will take this Love far. He and I see potential in this pure, rich and mutual love and we are making things work for ourselves. I enjoy myself every single time that I am with him and I hope that, with god's grace, I can keep him forever and ever.

Thank you babe for tonight. It felt like I was talking to a friend who knew me inside out except the plus point to this is that you are also my boyfriend who never fails to watch over me. I thank God for you, the man with the biggest heart.

oh, & it's alive again I think I'm having one of those days where I really need company. My babe is not around because he has field camp to go to.
I'm beginning to get bored of my weekdays because all I do are

1. Attempting to wake up for school
2. Snooze for at least 4 times
3. Woken up for school.

5. Leave home
6. Chase after bus
7. Die in school
8. Revive as soon as school ends
9. Dinner's at home

It is a damn cycle and because a cycle runs in a repetitive mode, it is certainly boring me. I only look forward to popping raisins & eating my apple in the day. Other than that, it is just I need sleep, I need sleep, I really need sleep.

I wanna do something I really love. & my new found craze is cooking slash baking. I am very serious about taking up lessons & I have found a site for application! Wait for it!

Let me have a little short paragraph written on this ~~friend of mine~~ grown up.
I've known him since last year(Wow! it has been a year!) & we have had tremendous fun together. He can go on and on about his band, LTTE or original (pretty much depends on your luck) for one entire day & tell you the same thing the next time he meets up with you.

Despite his constantly- -.- -displayed-expression, he wears tons of expressions.
Back to his -.- expression; he can't really do anything about it because he has a skinny face but fairly high cheekbones & not forgetting his barely-there eyes. The only thing that is free and about is his mouth, explains constant change of expression.

My title has a mind of its own

Hi.
I am supposed to be writing an article for a school assignment. But, I really have no clue on the issues to talk about. Let's just get things done anyways.

First point to note; I think the world is a very unsafe place to live in. Reasons being, we are constantly exposed to life-threatening threats. A perfect example to prove my point would be the current situation with regards to the flu, we have all grown to be so familiar with - H1N1 Influenza A. Emphasizing on this point, I already have two classmates wearing their masks and jackets. After every sneeze would come with glares and stares from all directions. The next question posted to them would be, "Do you need a mask?"

This virus has become a sacred subject to discuss because each and every being have grown to be so afraid to contracting the virus. However, their behavior tells me otherwise; So much for emphasizing on the importance of being socially responsible.

I think cows can make good pets. They are adorable-looking to start with and they have black spots on their bodies which can be used to play "Risk" with friends and families. Furthermore, we get to have a constant supply of milk within the family, community and society. It will be a good mammal to keep and we can train our children to be vegetarians from a tender age as well. Besides, we can walk the cow for a change.

I remember reading an article in The Sunday Times yesterday. The article was emphasizing on the peaking rates of the HIV disease; Not amongst Men and Women but Men alone. Gays would be a term they use to categorize this group. I have always thought it is a group consisting of men making up to only a maximum number of a thousand. I was utterly shocked when I saw the figures to reach a total of 8.8 million gay, lesbian, and bisexual persons in the U.S alone. This leads me to the issue on legalizing gay marriages.

Further proves my point on this world being an unsafe place to live in.

A tragic story I still have a hard time getting over would be that Elton John is married to his boyfriend. What a legend he has become over the years due to his inspiring songs and powerful voice. It's also solely because of what he is made of which highly irks me. I cannot bring myself to accept that people of the same sex can share a sex life. First, we humans are not made to be this way and for the society to accept such a practice is completely ridiculous and outrageous.

I think I should end here now. I have a strong gut feeling that Anne Tan thinks I'm not doing work when it is completely otherwise. I shall pray that my effort will be paid off.

I was walking with my granny around the estate this beautiful evening. I was clutching onto her hands while she does the same to mine. I was holding onto her so very tightly; being extra cautious to every step she took.

It occurred to me that every granny is a great cook. Every old lady has got a secret recipe to which only she held the key. I wonder if I ever will be a good cook.
If I, too could cook a spread for a family; my family; the family I will love and adore.

Judging from what I know from the kitchen, namely:

1)Lay newspapers on the floor and table
2)Differentiate forks from spoons and chopsticks from chopsticks
3)Grab plates from cupboard
4)Chop Garlic
5)Re-chop garlic because previous ones were chestnuts
6)Grab plate from cupboard again because I forgot sister's boyfriend is coming over
7)Ordered to switch fan to power 3
8)Ordered to grab chopsticks again because of odd-numbered chopstick brought in the first time

Have I mentioned about the prank call I received last night?
A man who used an obviously fake but fucking heavy British accent called me last night.
He was bull crapping on how he needed a model to showcase his new set of lingerie - APPARENTLY triumph.
I was "who the fuck are you, what the fuck are you talking about, what the fuck do you want" the whole time and was more than persistent on the whole "I am serious when i say i'm not interested in taking up that offer thank you. Please go away."

All he said was, "Come on! Come on! Come on! How about giving me your address and I can go over to your place to get some action kicking?"

After that, it was just instantly and constantly WHAT THE FUCK.

I had the worst day at work.
I was issued a warning letter due to my frequent late arrival to work. (5 to 10 mins)
Ying was nagging at us early in the morning and there are new promotions I have yet to memorize.
I was irritated with the annoying DS Promoter - Rizal. (He is always talking to himself and he carries an odour.)
I didn't get to do cashiering. Worst of, I had to update all the showcases in the store.
Farrina was assigned to finish it with me.
We were suppose to knock off by 6.30 pm but because we had shit to resolve due to the literally screwed up printer, we stayed on for full shift.
I burnt my finger while fighting with the stupid printer.
I really heard my finger sizzle on the hot and red rubber.
I tried dismantling the printer but the screwdriver wouldn't screw the screw. (I told you, I meant it in literal terms)
The printer died on us anyway and we had so much trouble looking for the stupid palmtop.
We had to bring so many toys out; We ended up either forgetting one or leaving another somewhere else.
We wasted so much paper.

I told Farrina that if I were Ying, I would fire myself for sure!
We spent 6 hours on one bloody showcase. We had 4 to do in total!
Rani spent only a half hour on one!
The day is wrapped up to be really terrible because we only manged to complete 2.
I had tremendous fun with Farrina though.
I nevertheless love work.

It is occasion like this which would allow me to realise how fortunate I am to have such a lovely and complete family.

I read Granny Dan last week and the content of it really put me into much thinking.
It was through the nine chapters which had me spending more time with my granny.

Take these paragraphs, digest and remember.

We had stopped in the park on the way home, and I had sat on a bench, watching them, thinking of her again, as I had almost constantly for the last week since her service. There was so much about her I had never known, so much I had only guessed at, so many mysteries to which only she held the key. My greatest regret was not asking her about her life when I had the chance, but just assuming it wasn't important. She was old, after all, how important could it be? I thought I knew everything about her. But we all didn't.

We just assumed she had always been there, part of our lives, just as she was. As one does about old people, we assumed she had always been old.
None of us really knew anything about her, and what lingered in my head were the unanswered questions.

In my eyes she had always been old, always been mine, always been Granny Dan. But in another time, another place, there had been dancing, people, love and a story waiting to be told.

Isn't that how we all think of our grand parents? Old people who have always been old. I caught myself thinking about how my granny would have handled a situation filled with complexity and emotions. How would she be able to prioritize the importance of people and purpose. All my life, I've always seen her being doted by my Godma. I've never seen her suffer neither have I ever seen her undergoing hardship. I've only seen my granny happy.

I wonder who she was when she was much younger
How she was like and how she behaved in the phase of hardship
How everybody thought about her and if her mother was proud of her
Who is this lady and was she loved by everybody?

I want my grandchildren to know me and the life I'm living well. I want them to know that I was once a little girl too. Like them, I had barbie dolls to play with and I dreamt about marrying the man of my dreams as well. I had my own life to live and having to be in the different stages in life is certainly a ride. From the young and perky daughter to becoming an understanding and loving wife and then on to a caring and thoughtful mother and finally to becoming an old, old, old grandmother.
I am of course, still in the first stage.
I am looking forward
How all of that would feel I wonder.

I only have one and I truly cherish her.

But I wasn't lying or even exaggerating.
At the wedding I felt so close to Rose. I thought that there was genuine respect between us and the chat was amusing and interesting.
I thought we were doing well. But then she vanished.

For the last month I have wondered how best to sort out this mess.

We reached the pit at about 8.30 and there were only five girls.

If this is what I call home

I make an impeccable procrastinator.

I stayed over at my Granny's place last night and woke up at 7 to run some errands.
I was back at Granny's by 12.30 and was lazing in bed by 12.32.
The next moment i woke up from what I remember to be an awesome dream, it was already 2.34.
I spent a reasonable 15 mins recalling what that dream was about but failed; I had myself landed in frustration and was suffering from a tight bladder.
Even as I was in the loo, I was doing all I can to recall what that dream was about; I failed on the second attempt and could only remember the reason why I was disturbed from that awesome dream - I wanted to read my book so bad.

I was back in bed by 2.36 and was framing sentence after sentence.
In the deepest state of indulgence, I constantly reminded myself to head home after completing this chapter, subconsciously or not.
I wanted to head home to take another shower, change into a new set of clothes and most importantly, to see my nearest and dearest. I haven't seen him for the entire night and it was important that I stayed by his side after his annual jab.
I kept the reminder in mind.

I completed chapter 16 I promised myself to finish but was tempted to have a head start to the next chapter - I gave in to temptation.
I ended up going home only at 6.30.
In that 4 hours, I was constantly reminding myself to get my ass home.
I am THAT good with temptation.
I never regarded that as a strength, it is glaringly a flaw I have yet to work on.

I was in the movies with my parents last night - The Wedding Game.
It was as predictable as I have expected.
It was boring me that I was right about the story line - I didn't like that lack of challenge.
I ended up battling myself with my terrible skill of recollection.
I tend to make it a point to remember how every movie begins; I will have the first scene bared in mind.
It is only until the end of the movie that I begin to recall what I first saw and start relating the first scene to the last. Chances of that happening is naught - "I ended up battling myself with my terrible skill of recollection."

My brother just farted.
Curse that fat cow.
He just killed that last bit of inspiration.
Back to my book.

Apparently, Nausea is also an adverse effect of many drugs, and may also be an effect of a large intake of sugary foods.
